February 2010 will see amendments made to the Owners Corporations Act 2006 (the Act). Are you aware of how these changes will affect your management procedures?
Attend and hear a clear overview of the changes, why they came about and simple procedural advice to ensure you comply.
Whilst the Consumer Affairs Legislation Amendment Bill 2009 was introduced to Parliament merely seeking to clarify the Government`s intentions that existed at the time of introducing the Act; the overall effect of the changes will see additional requirements imposed on OC`s and the manager.
OCV are proud to present this seminar to assist our members maintain their level of competency and carry out their work in accordance with the technical and professional standards expected of an OCV Member. All members are encouraged to attend this must know seminar.

A Tasmanian Chapter meeting is being held Friday 26th March 2010 from 2:00pm-4:00pm at the offices of OCV, 30 Peel Street, Collingwood.
If you operate in Tasmania and are interested please contact OCV for further details.
The aim of the meeting is to encourage informal discussions and allow OCV to identify any recurring issues, training needs or other ways we may be able to offer support; ie practice guidelines such as Contract of Appointment, training topics specific to the Tasmanian Act etc upon which formal training may then be arranged. The meeting is also aimed at providing an opportunity to network with fellow managers and discuss experiences and practices.
